Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) writes and directs this account about Shakespeare and his family. The film is based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell and set during the creation of Hamlet. But William Shakespeare is not at the forefront of the story - instead it is told from the point of view of his wife Agnes. This period drama stars Paul Mescal as the Bard and Jessie Buckley as his wife, who give marvelous performances.
